GATHERING

LFFC creates spaces where First Nations, local governments, farmers, provincial agencies, and other partners can come together to learn from one another and work toward shared solutions.

Our gatherings help strengthen relationships, build shared understanding of risks and priorities, and support more coordinated and collaborative flood management across the region.

FORUMS

Large, multi-day gatherings that bring together representatives from across the Lower Fraser — including 31 First Nations, local governments, technical experts, provincial agencies, and community organizations.

These forums create space for learning, dialogue, shared problem-solving, and advancing regional alignment on flood and climate resilience.

FARMER AND FIRST NATIONS DIALOGUES

Focused conversations that support relationship building between agricultural communities and First Nations, especially in areas where land use, drainage, and flood infrastructure intersect.
These gatherings help surface shared concerns, identify opportunities for collaboration, and build trust across groups that are often impacted differently by the same floodplain decisions.

TOPIC-SPECIFIC WORKSHOPS/WEBINARS

Smaller sessions in the forms of webinars or workshops that dig into shared issues such as dike governance, emergency response coordination, nature-based solutions, and critical infrastructure resilience.

These sessions educate or help communities learn from each other, better understand regional context, and identify practical next steps.
